Together as a family we had a dream to help connect other families back to nature, back to farm life and back to each other.

I’m Steph I grow up on the Central Coast and relocated to the Mid North Coast over 10 years ago, it was here I meet my Husband Dan he had grown up on the Mid North Coast and has always been a farmer.

I however had come from a very different world even to this day I get excited when I see a goat, mini horse or kangaroo in a paddock.

I had been working in the Community Service industry for a number of years and I begin to find myself talking more and more about my Chickens and Veggie patch. I had even started to make the casual joke around the office “I just have to work out how to make a living by feeding my chickens and water my broccoli, then I would be living the dream.”

It was from here our farm journey as a family began it started with 9 chickens in the backyard and one flow hive. But quickly escalated to 70 bee hives located throughout Macleay and Nambucca Valley, a paddock of cows and as many farm animals as I could get my hands on.

Then one day I realized if I strive for that connection to the land and my farm animals’ others must to and that’s where the idea for Macleay Valley Farm started.
